DIY mini top hat

okay so i wanted to do this for a while but i couldnt be borthered mind you this hat didnt turn out so well so i'll try another one tomorrow but i thought id just show you guys so that way you can get a little idea on how to do it
without a sewing machine lol
Also i know the photos are a litle drak its because it was pourrriinngg down with rain today

Photobucket
i started off with some carbored i just used a chocolate wrapper and cut it in 1/2 and cut one 1/2 again.

you can also use a loo roll but i found this way easier

you then roll the big piece of crabored into a log and hot glue the ends.
thne with the two smaller parts you hotglue the tips of the ends of teh tube to the middle of teh other parts and then you have your base and top at the top cut around it so it sits flat and doesnt have a rim.
on teh button part you will want a rim so just try and cut it into a round shape =/ i failed at this part but you can just add more cardbored later on.
Photobucket

Then i went and got some white cloth and wraped it around, where the base meet the rim i pipped hot glue and pulled the fabric around.

Photobucket
then i pushed the fabric under and stuck other bits on
Photobucket
this is where you can change the shape of yoru rim before you glue the rest of teh fabric on.

the under part of the hat i glued on a hair clip.. the ones you can get for hair extentions.

Photobucket

this is what it looks like on my toy dog

and since i cant get a good picture of it on me here is a kinda picture

Photobucket

Next time well tomorrow im thinking about maybe doing a top hat with mini red fabric ross on it.

Oh no!

after going over some crafty websites/blogs i found something that made my heart die a little.

Here!

I cant not believe he killed himself, after some reading, I found out it was because he mother had died 10 days before hand.
ahh! i just loved his work so much his dresses and hats and shoes were one of a kind.
I know for a fact while watching a Lady gaga video she loves him to.. like to have a lot of his work on.

I still love his work and will keep loving it, hes gone down in my book as an artist not a fashion designer.

and really one day i wished to own one of his dresses :( i guess now thats never going to happen because for one thing the price will go right up because of his death and the fact that he was so good at what he did.

detail is everything.

Bottle painting

okay to start off with i got an old glass bottle, painted it white with 2 coats of acyclic paint.
i then picked a painting i wanted to do on the bottle.

i got out my paints and Q tips and went to work. the end bottle turned out pretty good :)
this is an easy diy to do nd this way if you liek me and liek random bottles around you house they can all be different.

since most acrylic paint is shiney when it drys i was going to leave it but i use oil pastels on my booble to help blend the colours. so i just sprayed the bottle with some hair spray.
this way the oil pastel doesnt move!.

DIy necklace + flower step by step

okay! here is a step by step on teh flower and necklace i made today!
first i took a piece of off cut from some jeans and cut it like so

i took the end piece and rolled it.

i then took the random offcuts and cut them into two so they were smaller.
(but if you making a bigger flower you can use a hole piece)

Then you roll the fabric around the "bud".

here i folded the ends of the "petals" to teh outside with some hot glue.

hot glue the other "petals" around the sides pinching as you go, when you pinch teh area with the hot glue it gives a ruffled look.
All done!
you can add a button or something in the middle to style it up i guess.

take a plain a necklace charm, holder.. and hot glue it up!

stick the flower onto the hot glue and wait for a while.. if your like me and use a metal one this can be very hot.

and all done! :D
new necklace!
